KHADIM ALI
BIOGRAPHIE
b. 1978, Quetta
Lives and works in Sydney
Khadim Ali explores the way words and images change meaning when filtered through different ideological lenses. Drawing from traditions of miniature painting, calligraphy and
epic storytelling, Ali’s paintings and textiles tell stories of the destruction of his own cultural heritage in Bamiyan, Afghanistan, and the subsequent sense of loss and displacement.
