Lives and works in Lahore
Inspired by Mughal, Rajput and Company paintings from South Asia, Ali Kazim’s practice explores the hidden histories of ancient civilizations buried beneath the landscape. Primarily trained in Pakistan and subsequently in London, his work often encompasses figures and archeological remains, and has an ethereal, fantastical dimension to it.
