Helen Khal is an influential figure in the 1960s artistic movements. As an artist, critic, teacher and curator, she co-founded Gallery One, Lebanon's first contemporary art gallery. Khal showcased global artists and highlighted pioneering Lebanese female figures, including her close friend Huguette Caland. Her expressive art, rarely exhibited, explores colourful abstract forms, emphasising her lifelong fascination with colour and its connection to her lyrical and literary passions.
