Of German-Egyptian heritage, Susan Hefuna’s work is informed by her cross-cultural upbringing and the intersection of location and identity. The multimedia artist works with drawing, film, photography, sculpture and performance. Hefuna’s grid-like minimalist compositions investigate images and structures, bridging the way they work in diverse contexts.
