Lives and works in Paris

Artist and publisher Simone Fattal is inspired by the spirtuality, history and mythology of the so-called ‘Arab world’. Her work contains socio-politcal undercurrents where she explores notions of identity, nationalism and her memories of Syrian landscapes. Her poetic practice encompasses paintings, collages and sculptures made from clay, bronze, stone and terracotta, among other luminous forms.
