MOHAMED ABDRASSUL

b. 1922 or 1926, Kaas, Sudan 
Pioneering photojournalist Mohamed Abdrassul employed skilful artistry to document Sudan’s history and changing political climate. His practice began as a state photographer in 1954 and continued until his retirement in 1982. His photographic journey led him across Africa and Europe, during which he covered pivotal moments, deftly chronicling Sudan's democratic and totalitarian periods, its struggles and transitions.
