Marwan Kassab Bachi, known as Marwan, was an artist and educator. His visual vocabulary is saturated with socio-political memory, an obsession with deconstructing portraiture and the inner human psyche. His post-surrealist paintings, associated with the German New Figuration Movement present landscapes and heads consolidated to form a universe of the soul, conveying his obsession with the anguish of the human condition.
